Many
techniques and media were used to interpret anew the mythology of cultural
subjects from Spain and France such as the bullfight, women and men
in the artists life, his role, the acrobat and the harlequin, interiors
of his studios, etc. in 36 plus sketch books, from over 60 years. In
his sketchbooks, Picasso worked out the composition of the figure as
well as its placement for paintings, use of color, and of course, ways
of seeing, as in the various versions of the nude, below. 1930-1960s.
