My research based art practice engages with art history's narratives, and contemporary life; media and subject matter such as: painting and the Canadian landscape, art residencies at survival jobs, female subjectivity and the visual arts, the sketchbook, education and the visual arts, and arts education and the art of the insane. I created exhibit905.info to launch my web based art projects. It recently expanded to include the education projects I develop and now images and background on my 'real time' visual art work projects. A practitioner of life-long learning, I received my Bachelor of Education degree, for intermediate/senior levels, in the unique Artist in Community Education program, Faculty of Education, Queen's University, Canada, 2007, my studio M.A. Feminism and the Visual Arts, Leeds University, England, 2003, and my B.F.A. from Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design, Canada, 2000. I have exhibited in Canada, England, and Europe. |
